Bekasi Car Free Day Suspended During Ramadan, No Road Closures

BEKASI, KOMPAS.com - Consistent with its policy since it was announced, the Bekasi City Government will not organise Hari Bebas Kendaraan Bermotor (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) during the holy month of Ramadan. Therefore, during the fasting month this weekly Car Free Day typically held every Sunday is cancelled.

“Following the Bekasi Mayor’s Circular, the Car Free Day on 15 February 2026 became the last activity before entering Ramadan 1447 H. During Ramadan, Car Free Day activities are officially cancelled,” quoted from the official site of the Bekasi City Environmental Agency, Saturday (7/3/2026).

“However, as part of traffic management strategy ahead of the mudik and balik flow for Lebaran 2026.”

“Vehicles from Hasibuan Street and Bulak Kapal can also pass normally. Vehicles from Pekayon heading to Jalan Ahmad Yani and Summarecon Bekasi also have no detours.”

“Vehicles wishing to traverse those roads on Sundays during the fasting month can pass as on normal days.”
