BEI Lifts Suspension, These Two Stocks Immediately Surge
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has announced the lifting of the suspension on two stocks starting from the first trading session on Wednesday (6/5/2026). The two stocks are PT Bersama Mencapai Puncak Tbk. (BAIK) and PT Multisarana Intan Eduka Tbk. (MSIE), which can now be traded again today in the regular and cash markets. The shares of the Ayam Nelongso restaurant issuer, BAIK, were suspended on 24 April due to a significant cumulative price increase. After the suspension was lifted, the shares immediately climbed 0.75% to 670 per share. Meanwhile, MSIE, the shares of the school property issuer, were suspended on 5 May 2026 due to a significant cumulative price increase. After the suspension was opened, the shares immediately soared 9.76% to 135 per unit this morning. Throughout this year, or year-to-date (YTD), BAIK has already surged 407.58%. On a YTD basis, MSIE has risen rapidly by 181.25%. BEI states that the decision to impose the suspension on both stocks is a form of protection for investors, particularly the shareholders of both issuers.
