Behind the Formation of the Indonesia-France Mega Business Council
JAKARTA — Indonesia and France’s economic relations have entered a new phase. During President Prabowo Subianto’s state visit to Paris, the two nations officially launched the France–Indonesia High-Level Business Council (FI-HLBC). The FI-HLBC is a high-level business forum bringing together 30 leading industrial and corporate executives with a combined market capitalisation of US$1.3 trillion, or approximately Rp23.23 quadrillion. The council is co-chaired by Antoine de Saint-Affrique, Chair of France-Indonesia Business Council MEDEF International and CEO of Danone, and Anindya Bakrie, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).
