Iman noted that street crime in Jakarta has been rising recently, as evidenced by the volume of police reports from the public.
He said they received 1,283 police reports in less than a month. Breakdown: aggravated theft (curat) 651 cases, ordinary theft 396 reports, motor vehicle theft 209 reports, and theft with violence 27 reports.
Iman said from thousands of reports, the team has managed to uncover cases at 870 crime scenes within the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya.
To date, the team continues to work on breaking cases; 413 cases remain unsolved.
Among the seized items were 84 mobile phones, 69 motorcycles, cars, laptops, eight firearms with ammunition, — and 45 blades of sharp weapons, including T-shaped keys.

‘We ensure the legal process proceeds in a professional, transparent and accountable manner,’ said Iman.
