President Prabowo Subianto has begun redirecting national strategic policies amid increasingly complex global dynamics. Through a limited meeting (ratas) held virtually on Saturday, 28 March 2026, Prabowo highlighted the energy and economy sectors as the government’s primary focus moving forward.

The meeting was attended by several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet and took place from afternoon until evening. The main agenda was to align national policy steps to remain adaptive to the latest developments.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the President directly led the discussion on the policy directions to be taken by the government, particularly in addressing challenges in the economy and energy sectors.

He added that this ratas also served as a cross-ministerial coordination forum to ensure that every policy taken remains aligned, directed, and responsive to rapidly evolving global dynamics.

“President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting with several ministers of the Merah Putih Cabinet to determine adjustments and decisions on several economic and energy policies,” said Teddy in a written statement quoted on Sunday, 29 March 2026.

Some of the ministers present at the meeting included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani.

In addition, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widiyanti, and Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi were also present.

Teddy emphasised that this ratas also reflects the government’s more agile working pattern by utilising technology to accelerate coordination without reducing the quality of strategic decision-making.

After holding the meeting with the relevant ministers, Prabowo departed for Japan on an official working visit (kunker) on Sunday, 29 March 2026. This visit is part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance strategic cooperation between Indonesia and Japan.

President Prabowo along with the entourage arrived at Haneda Airport, Tokyo, Japan on Sunday at 19.10 local time. It is known that the Head of State along with a limited entourage took off from Halim Perdanakusuma TNI AU Base, Jakarta, around 10.35 WIB.
