Before the DPR, Destry Unveils '3I and 1S' Formula if Elected to Lead BI

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Bank Indonesia (BI) governor candidate Destry Damayanti stated that she will prioritise the 3I and 1S aspects in leading the central bank going forward. This was affirmed during the fit and proper test for the BI Governor on Thursday (26/8/2026).

The 3I and 1S stand for impactful, inclusive, and integration, while the S refers to synergy.

“3I means our policies will strive to be impactful, inclusive, and integrated, and all of that can be achieved through trained synergy. And for us, synergy is not just about working together, but about uniting strengths, complementing each other, and moving in harmony to achieve better results than what could be attained if we worked alone,” Destry explained.

In her presentation, Destry specifically elaborated on the Sinergi Merah Putih (Red and White Synergy) that she would champion if elected to lead BI. This synergy, Destry said, is necessary given the complexity of current global challenges.

“On slide seven, we see the theme of Sinergi Merah Putih for the welfare of the Indonesian people. We feel this is part of Bank Indonesia’s efforts to answer both global and domestic challenges. The challenges we face today are increasingly complex,” said Destry.

The Sinergi Merah Putih consists of Food and Energy Security, Economy and Employment, Human Resources, Downstreaming and Industrialisation, Regional Development, and Political, Legal, and Bureaucratic Reform.
