The Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah had initially chosen not to give a firm answer regarding speculation that he would resign from his position. Speaking to the press on Friday, 10 July 2026, he instead emphasised his commitment to continue carrying out his duties and completing a number of corruption cases that are a priority for the Attorney General’s Office.

However, just a few hours later, in the early hours of the following day, the Attorney General’s Office announced that Attorney General ST Burhanuddin had accepted Febrie Adriansyah’s resignation from the position of Jampidsus.

Prior to the official announcement, Febrie stressed that all ranks within the Round Building were still working as usual in handling various ongoing cases. “To date, we are still receiving orders to complete the filing of case handling where the detention period is short. We have outlined and prioritised which cases are of public concern to be filed and brought to trial immediately,” said Febrie.

When asked for a response regarding the news of his resignation, Febrie did not provide a direct answer. He instead asserted that at that time he was still receiving assignments from the leadership to complete the filing of several important cases. According to him, the main focus at that moment was ensuring that every case of public concern could be processed immediately to the trial stage according to the set targets.

Febrie also ensured that law enforcement activities within the Jampidsus environment continued to run normally, from investigations, inquiries, and prosecutions to the execution of evidence. “We ensure that all activities and tasks that have been ordered to us and all colleagues in the Round Building who are conducting investigations, inquiries, prosecutions, as well as field duties in executing evidence, continue to run. In fact, I monitor that they remain in accordance with SOPs and are proceeding quickly,” he said.

In his statement, Febrie explained that Jampidsus was focusing its resources on completing a number of strategic cases deemed directly related to the interests of the public and the state.
