Before Rectors and Academics, Prabowo Pledges to Act on Every Proposal

During the closing of the National Seminar on Science, Technology, and Industry Convention, President Prabowo Subianto confirmed that he has received a list of proposals and enquiries. He promised that every suggestion would be studied and followed up as part of an effort to improve government governance.

“I have received a significant number of proposals and questions presented earlier. I promise that I will attend to them one by one,” said Prabowo, as reported on Sunday (28/06/2026).

On this occasion, he also touched upon the key elements required for a nation to become successful. According to him, a successful nation is not one that manages to avoid problems, but rather one that possesses the courage to face and resolve every challenge.

He noted that a culture of openness to criticism is essential, as is the pursuit of shared solutions. He stated that difficulties must be confronted with bravery, and that the government must also acknowledge its shortcomings and strive to find ways to overcome them.

“Because I believe that difficulties must be faced. Difficulties must be confronted, and we must be brave enough to face them, brave enough to admit them, and work hard to find solutions to these difficulties,” he said.

Prabowo stated that this perspective is derived from the various inputs he has received over time.

He reaffirmed that a successful organisation or nation is one that can honestly recognise its problems and take the necessary steps to address them.

“I have gained this from much input. Successful organisations, societies, and nations are those that are brave enough to identify difficulties and shortcomings, and then overcome them,” he said.

The National Seminar on Science, Technology, and Industry Convention was held at the Jakarta Convention Centre, attended by 2,600 participants, including rectors and academics.
