Before Long Weekend, Foreign Investors Record Massive Net Sell in 10 Stocks
Jakarta — The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed marginally weaker ahead of the long weekend on Friday, 21 May 2026, finishing down 0.05% at 6,127.38, despite trading in positive territory for much of the day.
Last week’s trading ran for only three days, with the index gaining ground on Tuesday before the Eid al-Adha public holiday and shared leave.
Ahead of the long weekend due to the Pancasila Day holiday on Monday, 1 June 2026, foreign investors recorded massive net selling of Rp8.52 trillion across the entire market. The breakdown comprised Rp8.36 trillion in the regular market and Rp159.59 billion in the negotiation and cash markets.
