Before Japanese Businesspeople, Prabowo Affirms Indonesia as a Non-Aligned Nation

TOKYO - President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed Indonesia’s position as a non-aligned nation before Japanese businesspeople at the Indonesia-Japan Business Forum held in Tokyo, Japan, on Monday (30/3/2026). President Prabowo stressed that Indonesia is a country open to the world and relies on international economic cooperation as the main pillar of growth.

“We rely on trade, we rely on close economic partnerships. That is why our foreign policy is always non-aligned,” said President Prabowo.

President Prabowo also emphasised Indonesia’s diplomatic philosophy, which prioritises friendship with all countries. He reiterated that a thousand friends are too few and one enemy too many.
