I Nyoman Cita (50), alias Man Colik, had left a comment on the Instagram account of Agus Novit Pramana Putra alias Petong (30), the man now named as the suspect in his murder. The brief comment, which read ‘handsome’, has come under the spotlight after Petong’s social media accounts were flooded by netizens. Hundreds of netizens subsequently filled the comment section of the post after police arrested Petong. A number of netizens also questioned Petong’s involvement in the murder case. “So this is the perpetrator?” wrote one netizen on one of Petong’s TikTok posts. On his TikTok account, Petong is known to have tens of thousands of followers. His posts, which featured a clean-cut, fair-skinned and heavily tattooed figure, had previously attracted much attention, particularly from women. However, since the murder case was uncovered, his comment section has been filled with remarks alluding to the case. As revealed by the Klungkung Police, Petong and Man Colik knew each other and were friends. Both also came from the same village, namely Banjar Negari, Negari Village, Banjarangkan District. Petong was arrested at his boarding house on Jalan Mahendradata Selatan, West Denpasar, in the early hours of Friday (17/7). The arrest was carried out by a joint team from the Klungkung Police Criminal Investigation Unit and the Bali Regional Police’s General Criminal Investigation Directorate. “The perpetrator was secured at a boarding house on Jalan Mahendradata Selatan, West Denpasar District, on Friday (17/7) at 2 a.m.,” said Klungkung Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Reno Chandra Wibowo at his office. Reno stated that Petong was arrested without resistance. Barefoot and without a face covering, the perpetrator was then taken to the crime scene to search for evidence, namely the knife used to kill Man Colik. The police have now secured the knife. In addition to the knife, police also seized a mobile phone, sandals, Man Colik’s underwear, and the trousers worn by the perpetrator during the incident. Meanwhile, the shirt and trousers worn by Man Colik at the time of the incident are still being sought. The Klungkung Police Criminal Investigation Unit will conduct forensic laboratory tests on the recovered knife. Police will also conduct a case review, reconstruction, and deepen the investigation. The case was uncovered through Scientific Crime Investigation using digital forensic methods. Man Colik was previously found dead floating in the Tukad Bubuh stream on Thursday morning (2/7/2026).
