Before His Murder, Man Colik Left a 'Handsome' Comment on Petong's Instagram
I Nyoman Cita (50), alias Man Colik, apparently left a comment on the Instagram account of Agus Novit Pramana Putra, alias Petong (30), the man who has now been named as his killer. The brief comment reading ‘cakep’ has drawn attention after Petong’s social media account was flooded by netizens.
According to observations by detikBali, Man Colik’s comment is still visible on one of Petong’s Instagram posts. Hundreds of netizens subsequently filled the comment section of the post after police arrested Petong.
A number of netizens have also questioned Petong’s involvement in Man Colik’s murder.
“So this is the perpetrator?” wrote one netizen on one of Petong’s posts on his TikTok account on Friday (17/7/2026).
On his TikTok account, Petong is known to have tens of thousands of followers. His posts, showing a figure with a clean-cut appearance, fair skin and covered in tattoos, had previously attracted plenty of attention, particularly from women. However, since the murder case came to light, his comment sections have been filled with remarks referencing the case.
As revealed by Klungkung Police, Petong and Man Colik did indeed know each other and were friends. Both came from the same village, namely Banjar Negari, Negari Village, Banjarangkan District.
Perpetrator Arrested in Denpasar
Petong was apprehended at his boarding house on Jalan Mahendradata Selatan, West Denpasar, in the early hours of Friday (17/7). The arrest was carried out by a joint team from the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of Klungkung Police together with the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) of Bali Regional Police.
“We managed to secure the perpetrator at a boarding house on Jalan Mahendradata Selatan, West Denpasar District, on Friday (17/2026) at around 02.00 in the early hours,” said AKP Reno Chandra Wibowo, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Klungkung Police, at his office.
Reno said Petong was arrested without resistance. Barefoot and unmasked, the perpetrator was then taken to the crime scene to search for evidence in the form of the knife used to end Man Colik’s life. The knife has since been recovered by police.
In addition to the knife, police also seized a mobile phone, sandals, underwear belonging to Man Colik, and the trousers worn by the perpetrator at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, the shirt and trousers worn by Man Colik at the time of the incident are still being sought.
Next, the Criminal Investigation Unit of Klungkung Police will conduct forensic laboratory tests on the knife that has been found. Police will also hold a case review, a reconstruction, and deepen the investigation. The case is being solved through Scientific Crime Investigation (SCI) using digital forensic methods.
Man Colik was previously found dead, floating in the Tukad Bubuh river on Thursday morning (2/7/2026). The middle-aged man had earlier been reported missing after saying he was going to bathe in the river on Wednesday night (1/7/2026).
The victim’s body was found face-down to the south of the Bypass Bridge, near the Klungkung General Election Commission office, at around 07.30 Central Indonesia Time. Police found a number of lacerations on the victim’s body pointing to suspected violence.
