Before Fleeing, TH Allegedly Forced Boarding House Guard to Lie to Doctors
There are many ways the suspected perpetrator of the abuse against Yuvita Tri Rezeki tried to cover up his actions. TH, the suspected perpetrator, committed deception by tricking staff at Ujung Berung Hospital and Hasan Sadikin Hospital when taking Yuvita for treatment. TH asked Resa Rohendi (40), the boarding house guard, to take the victim to the hospital and requested that the perpetrator be introduced as the victim’s relative. Resa actually admitted he was puzzled and felt something was amiss when the perpetrator asked for his help taking the victim to the hospital on the night of 9 June. He said the perpetrator chose to go to the hospital by motorcycle rather than accompanying the victim in a car. ‘Leaving from here (the boarding house), Ipey (the perpetrator’s nickname) wanted to use a motorbike. As a husband, he should have accompanied his wife to the hospital. But no, instead I was the one who accompanied her there,’ he said on Monday (22/6/2026). He continued that the victim, who is now blind, was moved from the boarding house to the car to be taken to the hospital by being carried on the perpetrator’s lap. Upon arriving at Ujung Berung Hospital on 9 June, Resa said the perpetrator asked that if staff inquired who the perpetrator was, he should be answered as a relative. ‘While accompanying her in the car, there was no chance to talk because the victim’s condition was already severe,’ he revealed. TH’s reason, he said, was that if he were discussed as the husband, handling would be difficult. Additionally, TH chose to wait in the car park. His reason was that if he faced staff and doctors, he was worried about being provoked emotionally. ‘If, for example, Uncle acknowledges me as a relative, Uncle’s relative, you know. Because if Ipey admits to being a husband, it’s feared it will be complicated. The handling from the hospital will be delayed,’ he said, mimicking TH’s words. However, Resa admitted that after the doctor asked about the cause of the severe injuries suffered by the victim, he explained that the victim’s husband was waiting outside while he was helping. As for the cause, he explained based on the husband’s account that she fell in the bathroom a month ago. He admitted he preferred to be honest because he was worried about being blamed. TH himself kept contacting him during the process of handling the victim, which he considered very disturbing and strange. Resa eventually answered the phone call from the perpetrator, who then asked him to introduce himself as a relative to the staff. However, he objected to this because he was worried he would be asked about the victim’s family. This refusal, he admitted, made TH angry and even threatened to damage the hospital. Under pressure from TH, he chose to ask the security officer about the victim’s condition and suggested she be referred to Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung. Given the situation, TH then took the victim to RSHS Bandung. Resa only found out that the victim’s condition was severely and critically injured later. ‘I only knew once her wounds were bandaged, her headscarf was opened, only then did I know the patient’s condition was like that, in a critical emergency state, only then did I know,’ he said. He admitted TH was asked by the doctor about the cause of the injuries and why he was only now bringing her to a doctor. Resa said the victim stated she fell in the bathroom, allegedly under the perpetrator’s instruction. When taken to RSHS Bandung, Resa said TH asked him to introduce himself as the boarding house owner while TH was to be introduced as her uncle or a relative who cared about the victim. After arriving at the hospital’s emergency department, TH allegedly threatened staff that if they did not treat the victim, he would report them to West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi. The doctor then questioned why the victim was only being brought in now and not at the time of the incident some time ago, as well as asking about her status and TH who brought her. Resa said the doctor asked the victim about her condition, and she answered she would explain once she met her family. Resa admitted the doctor kept pressing until he finally confessed that he was not the boarding house owner but the boarding house guard. He admitted he did this because he was ordered to by TH.
