Before Drafting Charges, Military Prosecutor Wants to Directly Check Andrie Yunus's Condition at RSCM
Members of the Military Prosecutor’s Office II-07 Jakarta, Lieutenant Colonel Chk Muhammad Iswadi, stated that they need to see the condition of Wakil Koordinator KontraS, Andrie Yunus, directly before drafting the charges in the sulphuric acid attack case.
To that end, Iswadi along with four members of the Military Prosecutor’s Office visited RSCM in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (12/5/2026) to check on Andrie.
“Our military prosecutor team can apply whatever article is appropriate to charge the defendants with, provided we can see Brother Andrie Yunus’s situation and obtain statements from the doctor,” Iswadi said when met at RSCM.
Through his legal representatives, Andrie also refused visits from the Military Prosecutor or any other military personnel.
Instead, the four Military Prosecutor’s Office personnel were received by RSCM management, the medical team, and Andrie’s legal team (TAUD).
Iswadi revealed that the trial for the sulphuric acid attack case against Andrie Yunus will resume on Wednesday (13/5/2026).
Tomorrow’s court agenda is to examine the four defendants in the acid attack, namely Sersan Dua Edi Sudarko, Letnan Satu (Lettu) Budhi Hariyanto Widhi, Kapten Nandala Dwi Prasetya, and Lettu Sami Lakka.
He explained that the results of the visit to RSCM will be reported to his superiors. After that, the Military Prosecutor’s Office will consider whether it is necessary to summon the doctor treating Andrie for examination in court.
“Whether we need to call the doctor in future court sessions or not. Because it relates to his condition,” he said.
“So if we cannot, then we will only rely on the evidence, the defendants’ confessions, and the witnesses we have already examined,” Iswadi stated.
Therefore, the Military Prosecutor’s Office will first discuss whether it is necessary to meet the doctor treating Andrie Yunus after he suffered burns from being doused with acid.
