The discovery of a mutilated body in a sack in the Tanah Merah area of Pancoran Mas, Depok, has been resolved with the arrest of a suspect. The victim was identified as Kunaefi (51), a resident of Bojong, Cipayung, who had been reported missing by his wife. The suspect, identified by the initials SA, was apprehended by the Sub-Directorate of Violent Crimes (Resmob) of the Metro Jaya Police in the Panimbang area, Pandeglang Regency, Banten. According to the Metro Jaya Police spokesperson, the victim and the suspect became acquainted through social media. After intensive communication, they agreed to meet in person on Thursday, 23 July 2026, at a rented house in the Cipayung area of Depok. However, the first meeting ended in a violent altercation. After killing Kunaefi, the suspect attempted to conceal the crime by mutilating the body, cutting it at the thighs, and wrapping the remains in black plastic and a sack. The main torso was discarded in Tanah Merah, where it was later found by a resident, while the legs were disposed of in a river in the Pitara area. The suspect also stole the victim’s motorcycle and fled to Banten, where he was eventually captured. The suspect is now in custody and faces further investigation.
