Before Arrest, Marwah WO Owner Moved Locations While on the Run
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The owners of Marwah Wedding Organizer (WO), ER and RMS, moved between locations before being arrested by police in Bandung Barat Regency, West Java.
The couple was apprehended by East Jakarta Metropolitan Police at a rental house in Batulayang Village, Cililin Subdistrict, Bandung Barat Regency.
‘During the search, the suspects were found not to be at their usual addresses and had moved locations multiple times,’ said East Jakarta Metropolitan Police spokesperson Aipda I Gusti MP when confirmed by Kompas.com on Sunday (31/5/2026).
However, the movement of locations is one of the findings being investigated by the investigators in the case development.
Upon arrest, ER and RMS were cooperative with the police.
‘The suspects did not resist, ensuring a smooth and safe security process,’ he added.
Previously, ER and RMS were named suspects in a case of alleged fraud against dozens of prospective brides and grooms.
Investigations revealed they allegedly received payments from several couples but failed to deliver the promised services, causing losses of up to Rp 2.6 billion.
The pair faces charges under Article 492 (fraud) and/or Article 486 (embezzlement) of the Indonesian Criminal Code.
