Beef Prices Rise Again Despite Declines in Rice, Onions and Cooking Oil — Full List
Jakarta, VIVA — The National Food Agency (Bapanas) has reported that premium rice prices stood at Rp 15,392 per kilogramme, down Rp 209 per kg, whilst medium-grade rice was recorded at Rp 13,274 per kg, a decline of Rp 121 per kg.
Meanwhile, government-subsidised rice (SPHP) was priced at Rp 12,399 per kg, down Rp 50 per kg, though local specialty rice rose by Rp 191 to Rp 15,917 per kg.
Maize prices at the farmer level were recorded at Rp 6,627 per kg, down Rp 286 from the previous day, whilst imported dried soybeans fell by Rp 172 to Rp 10,768 per kg.
Shallot prices dropped by Rp 2,236 to Rp 39,860 per kg, and garlic bulbs fell by Rp 1,285 to Rp 37,664 per kg from the previous day.
Curly red chilli prices stood at Rp 43,735 per kg, down Rp 2,783, large red chillies fell by Rp 3,925 to Rp 39,865 per kg, and red bird’s eye chillies declined by Rp 2,045 to Rp 75,600 per kg from the previous day.
However, pure beef prices rose by Rp 556 to Rp 139,024 per kg. Broiler chicken was recorded at Rp 40,420 per kg, down Rp 873, and broiler eggs fell by Rp 451 to Rp 30,853 per kg from the previous day.
Consumption sugar was priced at Rp 18,109 per kg, down Rp 92, whilst consumption salt fell by Rp 202 to Rp 11,330 per kg from the previous day.
Packaged cooking oil dropped by Rp 258 to Rp 20,904 per litre, bulk cooking oil fell by Rp 202 to Rp 17,597 per litre, and Minyakita branded cooking oil declined by Rp 171 to Rp 16,840 per litre from the previous day.
Bulk wheat flour was priced at Rp 9,401 per kg, down Rp 278, and packaged wheat flour fell by Rp 242 to Rp 12,664 per kg from the previous day.
Indian mackerel was recorded at Rp 45,981 per kg, up marginally by Rp 6 from the previous day, whilst skipjack tuna fell by Rp 73 to Rp 38,047 per kg, and milkfish declined by Rp 666 to Rp 37,107 per kg from the previous day.
