Beef Prices in Sukabumi Today, 25 March 2026, Reach Rp160,000 per Kg
Beef prices in Sukabumi today, 25 March 2026, are still quite high following Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. The average price of beef remains around Rp150,000 per kilogram.
The Head of the Sukabumi City Cooperative, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry, and Trade Office (Diskumindag), Een Rukmini, stated that beef prices are still fluctuating. The price once reached a high of around Rp160,000 per kilogram ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
“On H+3 or Tuesday (24/3), the price had dropped to Rp140,000 per kg from the previous Rp160,000 per kg. Today, based on our field monitoring, the beef price has risen again to Rp150,000 per kg from the previous Rp140,000 per kg,” said Een, accompanied by the Head of the Domestic Trade Section, M Rifki, on Wednesday (25/3).
Een estimated that the ups and downs in beef prices are more due to demand. This means that even though Eid has passed, the demand for this commodity remains quite high.
“It’s more about supply and demand. When demand increases, the price will rise accordingly,” she explained.
Monitoring of essential commodity prices at Pelita Market and Tipar Gede Market on H+4 after Eid, Wednesday (25/3), showed that prices are generally starting to stabilise. In fact, some commodities have seen a downward trend, particularly chillies.
For large red chillies (TW), the price has now dropped to Rp50,000 per kg from the previous around Rp60,000 per kg. Local large red chillies have also decreased, from Rp80,000 per kg to Rp60,000 per kg.
“Red cayenne chillies have also dropped from Rp100,000 per kg to Rp90,000 per kg,” she added.
Another commodity whose price has been observed to decrease is broiler chicken meat. Currently, it is around Rp48,000 per kg from the previous Rp50,000 per kg.
“Broiler chicken meat has not yet returned to normal prices. Normally, the average price of broiler chicken meat is around Rp35,000 per kg,” she concluded.
