Jakarta, VIVA – The National Food Agency (Bapanas) has reported that the price of premium rice stood at Rp 15,462 per kilogram, down Rp 244 per kg, whilst medium-grade rice was recorded at Rp 13,302 per kg, a decline of Rp 99 per kg.

Meanwhile, government-subsidised rice (SPHP) was priced at Rp 12,426 per kg, down Rp 32 per kg, whilst local specialty rice rose Rp 115 to Rp 15,940 per kg.

Maize at the farm-gate level was recorded at Rp 6,647 per kg, down Rp 252 from the previous day, and imported dried soybean was at Rp 10,736 per kg, a decrease of Rp 197.

Red shallots fell Rp 1,791 to Rp 40,654 per kg, whilst peeled garlic dropped Rp 890 to Rp 38,506 per kg.

Curly red chilli was priced at Rp 45,038 per kg, down Rp 1,981; large red chilli fell Rp 2,330 to Rp 41,007 per kg; and red bird’s eye chilli declined Rp 1,380 to Rp 74,818 per kg.

Pure beef was recorded at Rp 137,721 per kg, down Rp 1,237; broiler chicken fell Rp 1,062 to Rp 40,670 per kg; and broiler eggs dropped Rp 659 to Rp 30,755 per kg.

Consumption sugar was priced at Rp 18,133 per kg, down Rp 174, whilst consumption salt fell Rp 59 to Rp 11,469 per kg.

Packaged cooking oil declined Rp 397 to Rp 20,920 per litre; bulk cooking oil fell Rp 136 to Rp 17,627 per litre; and Minyakita, the government-backed brand, dropped Rp 318 to Rp 16,883 per litre.

Bulk wheat flour fell Rp 224 to Rp 9,546 per kg, and packaged wheat flour declined Rp 238 to Rp 12,799 per kg.

Mackerel rose Rp 316 to Rp 46,160 per kg, whilst skipjack tuna fell Rp 478 to Rp 37,483 per kg, and milkfish dropped Rp 561 to Rp 37,150 per kg.
