Beef price in Bandung hits Rp160,000 per kilogram

Beef price per kilogram at Kosambi traditional market in Bandung rose to Rp160,000 during the Ramadan fasting month. The National Food Agency (Bapanas), together with the Food Task Force, conducted on-site checks. Aji, a beef trader at Kosambi Market, said the price rise was driven by strong consumer demand during Ramadan, while stock remained relatively available. ‘Now at Rp150,000 to Rp160,000 per kilogram, many are buying,’ he said on Tuesday, 3 March 2026. He added that price increases are expected to continue ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, though stock is still relatively stable and available.
