Elasto Beauty beauty clinic in the Canggu area of Badung, Bali, has been reported by a former employee for allegedly using and distributing medicines that lack distribution permits in Indonesia.

The former Accounting Manager of the clinic, Sheilla Nizmah, revealed that some products used in beauty treatments at the clinic originate from abroad, particularly Russia, and are not registered with the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM).

“They use products from Russia, which do not have distribution permits from BPOM,” said Sheilla on Tuesday (21/4/2026).

She stated that the use of these unauthorised imported products is more dominant than Indonesian medicines in services provided to customers.

“So, out of 10 medicines they use, seven are from Russia and three from Indonesia,” she explained.

According to her, this practice has been ongoing since the clinic first operated, about three years ago.

She suspects that these medicines could enter Indonesia by paying certain officials. Sheilla even claims to have evidence of payments related to this.

“I know when they make transfers because I was the accounting manager, so I prepared the reports,” she added.

Additionally, the clinic is said to only serve foreign national (WNA) customers. If Indonesian citizens (WNI) wish to use the services, they are subtly rejected with reasons such as the doctor’s schedule being full.

Regarding these allegations, Sheilla claims to have reported the case to the Directorate General of Immigration under the Ministry of Law and Human Rights as well as BPOM in Denpasar. She stated that the report submitted to BPOM has received an initial response and is currently being handled by BPOM Denpasar.

detikBali has attempted to confirm this case with BPOM Denpasar. However, as of now, there has been no further official response from the relevant parties.
