Be Alert for Tidal Flooding in Bali Until 5 June 2026
BMKG Regional Office III Denpasar has issued an early warning of potential tidal flooding expected to affect several locations across Bali until 5 June 2026. The phenomenon is triggered by the full moon phase occurring at the end of May.
Head of BMKG Regional Office III, Cahyo Nugroho, explained that this astronomical event directly impacts the maximum sea level height in Bali’s waters.
“The primary cause is the full moon on 31 May, which is likely to increase maximum sea levels,” Cahyo stated in Denpasar on Sunday (31 May 2026).
