Jakarta (ANTARA) - BDO in Indonesia highlights the increasing importance of women’s roles in leadership and the modern workplace, in line with the commemoration of Kartini Day on 21 April.

In its official statement in Jakarta on Tuesday, the audit and consulting services company assesses that women’s roles today are not only broader but also more complex, encompassing contributions to shaping work methods, collaboration, and decision-making in organisations.

One of BDO Indonesia’s leaders, Johanna Gani, stated that leadership is not solely determined by results but also by values and the way relationships are built within teams.

Johanna conveyed that BDO Indonesia views the spirit of Kartini as evolving from mere equality issues to how women bring value to every role they undertake, including through integrity, presence, and the ability to maintain balance between professional and personal aspects.

In agreement, another leader, Iga Erna, assessed that women’s journeys in the professional world are often marked by challenges that shape resilience and character.

BDO in Indonesia is part of the global BDO International Limited network, which operates in more than 160 countries with over 100,000 professionals.

This network provides audit and assurance, tax, legal, business consulting, and advisory services, prioritising quality and integrity as well as understanding clients’ needs in local markets.

Through the momentum of Kartini Day, BDO Indonesia assesses that women not only adapt to changing times but also play an active role in shaping the direction of organisational and industry development.
