BDN's profits rise 5%
JAKARTA (JP): State-owned Bank Dagang Negara (BDN) booked a moderate increase of around 5 percent in its consolidated pretax profits last year, to Rp 249.87 billion from Rp 236.77 billion in 1994.
Out of last year's consolidated pretax profits, Rp 36.29 billion came from the bank's subsidiaries, according to the bank's financial reports published here yesterday.
The bank's interest revenues, which provide most of its lendings to corporate borrowers, also rose by 5 percent to Rp 2.47 trillion last year from Rp 2.34 trillion in the previous year. Meanwhile, its fee-based revenues increased by 19 percent to Rp 250.78 billion from Rp 210.06 billion.
The bank's total assets, excluding the assets of its subsidiaries, rose by 7 percent to Rp 27.60 trillion in 1995 from Rp 25.63 trillion in 1994.(hen)
