BCA's profit up 61.36%
JAKARTA: Publicly listed Bank Central Asia (BCA) announced on Tuesday that its net profit in the first quarter of this year rose by 61.36 percent to Rp 768.11 billion (about US$90.36 million) from Rp 476.02 billion in the same period last year.
The bank said its net interest margin increased to 5.16 percent from 4.91 percent.
At the end of March 2004, total outstanding loans reached Rp 29.82 trillion, or 34.61 percent higher than the Rp 22.16 trillion in the same quarter of 2003. Meanwhile, third party funds increased to Rp 118.20 trillion from Rp 101.98 trillion. -- JP
