JAKARTA – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) recorded loan disbursement of Rp 1,036 trillion in the first half of 2026, an 8 per cent increase compared with the same period last year. The achievement marks the first time BCA’s loans have broken through the Rp 1,000 trillion level.

BCA President Director Hendra Lembong said loan growth was supported by continually rising productive financing amid a still turbulent economy. According to him, lending continues to be carried out with prudence at the forefront, taking into account the company’s liquidity position.

“BCA’s performance in the first half of 2026 was supported by various factors, such as BCA Expoversary 2026 and the disbursement of productive credit to various sectors,” Hendra said during the presentation of first-half 2026 results on Tuesday (28 July 2026).

Productive loan disbursement reached Rp 802 trillion, up 11 per cent year on year. Of that amount, corporate credit grew 13.6 per cent to Rp 513.4 trillion, while commercial and small and medium enterprise (SME) credit rose 6.6 per cent to Rp 288.5 trillion. The loan at risk (LAR) and non-performing loan (NPL) ratios were maintained at 4.9 per cent and 1.9 per cent respectively.

On the funding side, third-party funds (DPK) increased 7.9 per cent to Rp 1,284 trillion. The growth was supported by current account and savings accounts (CASA), which rose 10.2 per cent to Rp 1,082 trillion, equivalent to 84.3 per cent of total third-party funds. This condition also kept the cost of funds under control.

BCA also recorded growth in sustainable financing. Green credit increased 19 per cent to Rp 123 trillion, driven by new and renewable energy sector financing, which surged 82 per cent to Rp 7.7 trillion. Meanwhile, electric vehicle credit grew 25 per cent to Rp 4 trillion.

As of June 2026, BCA and its subsidiaries’ net profit reached Rp 29.5 trillion. The company is also maintaining its loan growth target in the range of 8-10 per cent through the end of the year, given still-strong financing demand from a number of business sectors.

Amid this loan growth, BCA has begun adjusting its lending rates after Bank Indonesia (BI) raised its benchmark rate, or BI Rate, by 100 basis points since May 2026. However, the adjustment is being carried out gradually and only for certain borrowers, in accordance with their risk profiles and business conditions.

Hendra said the BI Rate increase has not automatically been passed on to all lending rates. According to him, adjustments are only made when credit facilities fall due, and are decided selectively.

“We are not raising rates for all customers. We are only raising them for certain customers whom we assess as still capable from a business perspective, so their rates are increased. For customers whose rates are already high, we are not raising them,” Hendra said.
