Bandung (ANTARA) - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is supporting the preparation of superior human resources (HR) to welcome Golden Indonesia 2045 through its routine Bakti BCA programme in the format of general lectures delivered by its board of directors. The latest event on Wednesday (8/4), titled BCA Berbagi Ilmu (BBI), was held at Bina Nusantara University (Binus) in Jakarta, attended by more than 560 students, with the theme “From Lecture Hall to Real World: Thriving in a Turbulent Era”. “The younger generation, especially students, must be able to move quickly, adapt, and effectively implement the values learned in university when entering the workforce or starting a business,” said BCA Director Haryanto T. Budiman in a statement received in Bandung, West Java, on Thursday. Haryanto, who delivered the general lecture directly at Bina Nusantara University in Jakarta, also reminded the importance of upholding integrity. “These values have been applied internally at BCA to solely provide the best products and services to customers,” he said. He also emphasised that education is crucial for Indonesia’s future. Without quality education, Haryanto stated, the benefits of Indonesia’s demographic superiority will not be optimally realised. “BCA is always striving to contribute to improving the quality of education and human resources (HR) in Indonesia,” he said. Furthermore, he added that the general lectures from BCA are presented as a manifestation of the company’s commitment and concern for the world of education. In addition to preparing HR, BBI is also one of BCA’s efforts to prepare the younger generation to better face global challenges. Previously, in 2025, BBI was held at 9 universities and attended by more than 6,300 students. BCA directors take turns as speakers in each edition of BBI. EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility BCA Hera F. Haryn said the company is always open to opportunities for collaboration with all universities. Through collaborations between banking institutions and educational institutions like this, the company believes that in the future, more Indonesian HR can grow to become good leaders for themselves and society. “We are committed to bringing positive impacts to all levels of society, from individuals, communities, and ecosystems,” said Hera. In the BBI session at Bina Nusantara University in Jakarta, BCA also socialised the Genera-Z Berbakti programme with a call for proposal concept targeted at active groups of male and female students in Diploma III, Applied Bachelor, or Bachelor programmes at universities in Indonesia who have enthusiasm for community development in villages. Through the Genera-Z Berbakti programme, BCA will provide funding, mentoring, and opportunities for students to directly implement their ideas in Desa Bakti BCA. Student groups can participate in this programme by submitting programme proposals and completing various requirements and conditions as regulated on the official programme page at bca.id/generazberbakti.
