Jakarta (ANTARA) — PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is confident that its capital adequacy ratio (CAR) will remain solid through the end of 2026, despite quarterly interim dividend payments this year.

BCA Director Vera Eve Lim projected that the bank’s CAR would stay at around 27% by year-end, supported by growth in the company’s earnings.

“What is our year-end projection? I see our CAR ending the year at a level not much different, at 27.4%,” Vera said at a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday.

According to the company’s financial statements for September 2026, BCA’s CAR stood at 27.51%. Vera said the bank’s current capital position still provided adequate room to support future business growth.

On net interest margin (NIM), she said BCA’s increase was in line with growth in the bank’s productive lending.

BCA’s NIM rose from 5.32% in the second quarter of 2026 to 5.41% in the third quarter, according to its financial statements. Productive loans reached Rp831 trillion as at September 2026, up 17.2% year on year.

Growth in productive lending was supported by several segments: corporate loans rose 20.9% year on year, commercial loans increased 7.8%, and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) loans grew 15.4%.

Vera said loan growth had helped boost the company’s earnings. She added that growth in current and savings accounts (CASA), alongside relatively stable funding costs, had also supported the increase in interest income.

As at September 2026, CASA deposits had grown 10.4% year on year to Rp1,103 trillion, with current accounts up 14.9% and savings accounts up 7.4%. Total third-party funds rose 8% year on year to Rp1,301 trillion.

BCA has paid interim dividends twice. The first instalment was paid on 26 June 2026, while the second was paid on 16 September 2026.

At the company’s annual general meeting on 12 March 2026, the board said that, if the company’s financial position allowed, it could distribute interim dividends three times during 2026, with payments planned quarterly, subject to approval from the Board of Commissioners.

All interim dividends paid for the 2026 financial year will be taken into account in the final dividend for that year. The final dividend will be distributed after approval at the company’s 2027 annual general meeting.
