BCA Digital: Younger Generation Showing Increased Financial Maturity
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Digital BCA (BCA Digital) assesses that Indonesia’s younger generation, comprising Millennials and Gen Z, is becoming increasingly mature in their financial management.
Edwin Tirta, Head of Retail & Digital Business at BCA Digital, stated during a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday that this phenomenon of financial maturity is evidenced by the younger generation’s growing activity in managing funds, both for consumption and for future preparation.
“This is reflected in features that align with the primary use case of managing money, which is saving. We have various solutions for savings,” said Edwin.
Based on data from blu by BCA Digital, during the first semester of 2024, there was a recorded 38 per cent year-on-year increase in users of the bluSaving feature.
“To address these dynamics, blu has evolved to introduce blu 2.0 through a 360-degree financial solution framework based on the four SIAP pillars,” Edwin explained.
The first pillar is savings, where BCA Digital encourages early financial habits through bluSaving, bluDeposit, bluGether, bluValas, bluBisnis, and bluAccount for Teens.
The second pillar is investment through bluInvest, which provides options for Mutual Funds and digital Gold instruments, as well as bluRDN, a collaboration with BCA Sekuritas designed to facilitate ease of investment in the capital market.
