PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has announced the eight finalists for the 2026 Genera-Z Berbakti Programme, who will compete in presenting ideas before three panellists to earn the opportunity to participate in empowering four BCA Bakti Villages.
“We believe the Genera-Z Berbakti panellists have a strong and relevant track record, enabling them to select the best proposals worthy of implementation in the target BCA Bakti Villages,” said EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility BCA, Hera F. Haryn, in an official statement received in Jakarta on Saturday.
She explained that the finalists will compete in ideas and team solidarity directly before the three 2026 Genera-Z Berbakti panellists: BCA Bakti Ambassador Nicholas Saputra, entertainer and sociopreneur Cinta Laura, and scientist and social entrepreneur Tri Mumpuni, on 16-17 May.
In addition to being known as the BCA Bakti Ambassador, Nicholas Saputra is a public figure who pays special attention to environmental, social, and cultural issues through various initiatives.
Meanwhile, Tri Mumpuni is known by the nickname “Electric Woman” for her efforts in bringing electricity to dozens of remote villages through Micro-Hydro Power Plants.
Hera stated that the eight teams that advanced to the final round of the community empowerment programme come from eight different universities.
The team from Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung and the team from Universitas Gadjah Mada will compete for the opportunity to develop the potential of Desa Wisata Kreatif Terong in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung.
Next, the team from Universitas Airlangga and the team from Universitas Cenderawasih will compete in ideas related to innovations in the environmental and health sectors for the development of Desa Wisata Patakbanteng in Central Java.
The last two finalists are the team from Universitas Indonesia with the KATALIS Programme and the team from BINUS University with the MAPALUS Programme, which will compete to submit the best proposals for community empowerment in Desa Wisata Kakaskasen Dua in North Sulawesi.
