Businessman Hashim detained: Former chief commissioner of the now
defunct Bank Industri Hashim Djohohadikusumo and the bank's
former president director, Umar Yudi, began on Wednesday March
13, 20 days in detention at Salemba Penitentiary, pending their
trial on charges of exceeding the lending limit without giving
prior notice to Bank Indonesia. The document relating to their
detention was signed by the general crimes assistant to the
Jakarta Prosecutors' Office, Antasari Azhar. --JP
