BBRI Completes Share Buyback, Absorbing Rp90.37 Billion

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) has completed the execution of its 2026 share buyback, with total funds utilised reaching Rp90.37 billion.

According to information disclosure submitted to the Financial Services Authority (OJK), BBRI repurchased 31 million shares with a transaction value of Rp90,373,316,000. This figure does not include securities brokerage fees and other related costs.

The buyback was carried out between 12 June and 11 September 2026, in accordance with the programme previously announced by the company.

Under the 2026 buyback plan, BBRI had allocated a maximum of Rp500 billion. Consequently, the realised expenditure represents approximately 18.07% of the maximum budget prepared.

The company stated that the repurchased shares will be used for share ownership programmes for employees and/or members of the Board of Directors and the Board of Commissioners.

However, the transfer of these shares will only take place after obtaining approval from the General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS), in accordance with applicable regulations.

In the disclosure, BBRI also stated that the execution of the buyback does not have any material negative impact on the company’s operational activities, legal condition, finances, or business continuity.
