BBPOM intensifies food product supervision ahead of Eid in Semarang

The Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BBPOM) has intensified its food product supervision across Semarang, Central Java, ahead of the Eid al-Fitr celebrations during the holy month of Ramadan. Combined task forces comprising personnel from BBPOM Semarang, the Central Java Provincial Trade Office, Semarang City Health Office, and the Civil Police have been conducting routine food product inspections at multiple locations throughout Ramadan and leading up to the 1447 Hijri Eid celebration.

The surveillance initiative aims to provide maximum consumer protection by preventing the circulation of processed food products that fail to meet regulatory standards. Laboratory testing of food samples is being carried out as part of the comprehensive monitoring operation. This coordinated enforcement effort ensures that food products available to consumers during the festive season meet all required safety and quality specifications.
