BBPOM Banda Aceh: Takjil Traders Already Understand Safe Food Ingredients

The Head of the Drug and Food Supervisory Agency (Balai Besar Pengawas Obat dan Makanan/BBPOM) in Banda Aceh, Ryanto, stated on Friday (27 February) that takjil traders are now conscious of the need to refrain from using dangerous substances in their food products, such as textile dyes, formalin, and borax. In addition to conducting regular inspections, the BBPOM in Banda Aceh is actively engaged in outreach programmes to micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKMs), including processed food traders.
