Bireuen: Minister of National Education A. Malik Fadjar handed
over more than 300 books to schools in the regency. In Bireuen
alone, 126 out of total 232 elementary school buildings, nine of
38 junior high school buildings and two of 14 senior high school
buildings have been burned down.

Aceh Besar: First Lt. Musbar Adam, chief of the Long 04 district
military command in Aceh Besar regency, who was killed as he
traveled to Banda Aceh by public minibus on Saturday, was buried
at the Banda Aceh Heroes Cemetery. He was allegedly shot by GAM
rebels.

North Aceh: The TNI burned six motorcycles and one pick-up van
belonging to GAM at Sabah Krueng village, Sawang district. The
burning of the vehicles was witnessed by TNI operations commander
Brig. Gen. Bambang Darmono.

Pidie: Secretary of the Lhokseumawe municipality, Bakhtiar
Abdullah, 54, suffered leg injuries when alleged members of GAM
sprayed his Kijang van with bullets at Tanoh village, Glumpang
Taji district, Pidie. He was traveling to Banda Aceh from
Lhokseumawe.
