The share price of BBCA, owned by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, held steady at approximately Rp6,100 per share during weekend trading on Sunday (17/05/2026). The movement of Indonesia’s largest private banking investment instrument reflects the dynamic capital market trends observed in recent weeks.
Recent price developments for BBCA have drawn significant attention from both domestic and foreign market participants. According to the latest trading data, the BBCA-coded stock recorded a slight correction of 0.41 per cent over the last 24 hours. Despite this, BBCA remains a primary driver in the regional financial sector, serving as a crucial benchmark for investors analysing long-term portfolios.
Looking back, the banking issuer’s share movement has shown significant short-term contraction. Over a five-day trading period, the share value declined by 2.01 per cent. Monthly charts reveal even greater selling pressure, with prices shrinking by 8.27 per cent, prompting retail investors to question the recent downward trend.
On a Year-to-Date (YTD) basis, BBCA shares have corrected by 24.46 per cent, while the annual decline over the last year reached 32.60 per cent. However, despite these short-to-medium-term corrections, BBCA’s long-term historical data shows massive growth. Over a ten-year period, the stock has grown by 132.82 per cent, and has achieved a staggering 17,330 per cent growth since its initial public offering.

Second-tier banks also performed positively, with BRIS rising 2.51 per cent and BNGA growing 2.11 per cent.
PT Bank Central Asia Tbk remains a fundamental pillar of the national financial industry. Originally established on 10 August 1955 as Pabrik Rajut NV Perseroan Dagang Dan Industrie Semarang, it officially began banking operations on 21 February 1957. The company went public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on 31 May 2000.
Currently, BBCA operates through three main business segments: Loans, Treasury, and Other business segments. Headquartered at Menara BCA, Grand Indonesia, Jakarta, the company manages an extensive service infrastructure comprising 139 branches, 873 sub-branches, and 244 cash offices across the country, supported by two overseas representative offices to facilitate international transactions. This vast network serves approximately 29 million customers nationwide.
As of the close of this week’s trading, the transaction volume for BBCA remains stable. Exchange authorities and analysts anticipate that future movements in banking stocks will be heavily influenced by the release of second-quarter economic growth data and upcoming central bank interest rate decisions.
