Jakarta — PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) has extended the period for its share buyback to 23 October 2026. The corporate action continues the share buyback programme carried out in April and June 2026.

The extension means BBCA’s buyback will run longer than previously scheduled. The company had initially announced that the action would continue only until 21 October 2026.

In an official statement on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, the company set the buyback period as 19–23 October 2026.

BCA management said the buyback was part of the company’s efforts to maintain stability in Indonesia’s capital market, as well as a demonstration of its confidence in the company’s business fundamentals.

“The buyback also reflects BCA’s (BBCA) confidence in the Company’s business fundamentals, while supporting the stabilisation of Indonesia’s capital market,” the company said in its official statement on Wednesday, 21 October 2026.

BBCA buyback period extended to 23 October

The revised schedule is the latest development in BBCA’s corporate action in October 2026. Under the change, the company will continue buying back its shares until Friday, 23 October 2026.

The buyback had previously been scheduled to end on Wednesday, 21 October 2026. The company has now extended the period by two calendar days.

The programme follows the share buybacks conducted in April and June 2026. Under a buyback, a company repurchases its own shares in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.

In its statement, management said the move also demonstrated the company’s confidence in BCA’s business fundamentals.

The buyback is also intended to support the stabilisation of Indonesia’s capital market. However, implementation of the corporate action will continue to take market conditions into account.

Management says buyback will have no material impact

BCA said the share buyback would have no material impact on the company’s financial performance or business activities.

According to the company, the repurchase is therefore not expected to have a material effect on either of those areas.

BBCA management also said it would continue to monitor market dynamics while carrying out the buyback programme. Monitoring market conditions is part of the implementation of the corporate action.
