Baznas West Jakarta to Renovate 58 Houses Throughout 2026

The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) Bazis West Jakarta has repaired or renovated 58 residents’ houses between January and August 2026.

Heru Norwanto, the Regional Coordinator of Baznas Bazis West Jakarta, stated that this achievement is part of a target to renovate 110 housing units throughout 2026. “Up until now, 58 houses have been renovated, out of the target of 110 units for 2026,” Heru said when confirmed in Jakarta on Monday.

According to him, the house renovation programme is one of Baznas Bazis’s efforts to improve community welfare through the repair of dwellings for those in need. In its implementation, Baznas Bazis West Jakarta is partnering with a single vendor or company, with a budget of approximately Rp55 million for each renovated house unit.

Furthermore, Heru noted that the houses being renovated have a maximum area of around 25-30 square metres. Construction is adjusted to the conditions and land area, including the possibility of building one or two storeys. “Baznas Bazis West Jakarta aims for the programme to continue until it reaches 110 housing units, as previously established for 2026,” Heru concluded.
