BAZNAS Tangerang: Idul Adha Fundraising Reaches Rp1.3 Billion

Praise be to God, the total sacrificial animals collected to date amount to 63 cows and 8 goats, demonstrating increased public concern and trust in BAZNAS Tangerang City. Tangerang (ANTARA) – The National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Tangerang City, Banten, reported that the total funds collected for Idul Adha sacrificial animals reached Rp1.3 billion, a sharp increase from last year’s Rp313 million. Chairman of BAZNAS KH Aslie Elhusyairy said in Tangerang on Tuesday: ‘This increase motivates us to continue expanding the benefits of the sacrificial offerings to those in need.’ From the total funds raised, these were converted into 63 cows and eight goats. The sacrificial animals will be distributed and slaughtered at various mosques across Tangerang City, involving participation from government agencies, companies, foundations, and the general public. ‘Praise be to God, the total sacrificial animals collected to date amount to 63 cows and eight goats, reflecting heightened public concern and trust in BAZNAS Tangerang City,’ he added. The distribution of sacrificial animals includes nine cows at Baitul Muttaqin Karawaci Mosque, nine at Riyadhaul Jannah Cibodas Mosque, and ten at At Taqwa Palem Semi Mosque. In addition to mosques, contributions also came from various regional government agencies (OPDs) under the Tangerang City Government. These include the Ministry of Religious Affairs with four cows, the Environment Agency (DLH) with two cows, and several other OPDs each contributing one cow. Participation also came from companies and foundations, such as Mazroatul Ulum donating three cows, and several goat donors from organisations and individuals. The BAZNAS Tangerang City Blessed Sacrifice Program is one initiative to ensure equitable distribution of sacrificial meat across Tangerang City, particularly for those in need. ‘BAZNAS Tangerang City is still accepting public contributions of sacrificial animals through its official bank account,’ he added.
