Baznas Strengthens Fire Preparedness Capacity of RSB Team

The National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) RI has provided fire mitigation training and simulation for personnel of Rumah Sehat Baznas (RSB) Indonesia, as an effort to strengthen preparedness and disaster risk mitigation.

Baznas RI Head of Distribution, Utilisation and Empowerment, Idy Muzayyad, explained that the training is a preventive measure aimed at building a culture of preparedness, particularly within healthcare facilities. He noted that the readiness of all employees is a vital factor in maintaining the continuity of health services, especially when facing emergency situations.

Through this training, participants received instruction on various aspects of safety and emergency management, ranging from the basics of fire, classification of fire types, to the introduction of Light Fire Extinguishers (APAR) and Personal Protective Equipment (APD). The session also covered safety procedures for conducting initial fire suppression.

“This knowledge is very important for them, so that our colleagues at Rumah Sehat Baznas are able to tackle the danger of fire as early as possible,” said Idy.

Reza Ramdhoni, Head of the RSB Indonesia Clinic, added that the training provides significant benefits for the staff, as the knowledge gained can be applied in daily activities. “Hopefully this can improve our ability to carry out initial handling, especially related to fires, and maintain the safety of all of us while enhancing preparedness within the Rumah Sehat Baznas healthcare facility environment,” he said.
