Baznas School Receives National Literacy Dedication Award

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Sekolah Cendeklar Baznas (SCB) has once again received the National Literacy Dedication Award from Nyalanesia, a platform organising integrated literacy programmes, for its consistency in supporting the School Book Writing Movement (GSMB).

Idy Muzayyad, Head of Distribution, Utilisation, and Empowerment at Baznas RI, expressed his appreciation for this achievement in Jakarta on Thursday, noting it as part of the ongoing development of a literacy culture within the SCB environment.

“For SCB, literacy does not stop at reading, but continues with writing and producing works. This is the learning culture that we continue to develop within the school environment,” he said.

Idy noted that this national-level award marks the fifth consecutive year that Sekolah Cendekia Baznas has achieved such recognition.

He assessed that the literacy culture built through writing activities provides space for students to develop creativity, express ideas, and produce works that serve as part of the learning process.

“This achievement demonstrates how precisely targeted zakat management can support the emergence of superior, competitive, and prolific beneficiaries through the strengthening of literacy,” he added.

As one of Baznas’s educational programmes, Sekolah Cendekia Baznas has mentored 363 students across various regions of Indonesia up to 2025. The programme is directed towards forming a superior, productive generation ready to contribute to the realisation of ‘Indonesia Emas 2045’.

Sekolah Cendekia Baznas is a premier middle and high school programme that operates on a boarding basis and is fully scholarship-funded, managed directly by Baznas RI.
