Leader of Baznas RI in the Directorate for Distribution and Utilisation, Saidah Sakwan, stated that the programme aims for children not only to receive material support but also education. She emphasised that the activity also serves as evidence of the inclusive management of zakat, infaq, and alms (ZIS) funds. Saidah added that Baznas RI’s main focus through this programme is to provide access to quality religious education for those who have long lacked it. “Through the theme Jalan Cahaya (Path of Light), we hope the activity will serve as a conduit for the birth of a golden generation that is of good character. Baznas is committed to being present amid them, ensuring that every child of the nation, regardless of background, has the same right to experience the nobility and blessings of the holy month of Ramadan,” she said. In response, the Banyuwangi Regency Secretary, Guntur Priambodo, gave high appreciation for this initiative. According to him, this synergy is crucial in strengthening religious values as well as building a sense of togetherness in our community. “We highly appreciate this initiative. The synergy between Baznas RI and the region is the key to strengthening religious values, while reinforcing the spirit of togetherness in our community,” he stated. It is noted that in this activity the participants undertake Islamic studies, moral guidance, self-motivation, and Ramadan worship mentoring, packaged in an interactive and educational manner. The programme is designed not only to enhance religious understanding but also to foster confidence and to build big aspirations among orphans as the future generation. As a form of support for participants’ health, Baznas also distributed 100 packs of 1-litre milk to all participants to support the health of orphans in Banyuwangi.
