Baznas Receives Limousin Qurban Cow from Shopee Barokah
Baznas RI has received a Limousin cow weighing over one tonne for Qurban from Shopee Barokah.
Baznas RI Chairman Sodik Mudjahid expressed appreciation for Shopee Barokah’s consistent contribution in entrusting their Qurban animal distribution through Baznas RI.
“Thank you to Shopee Barokah for consistently distributing Qurban animals via Baznas. This is not the first time Shopee Barokah has done so,” said Sodik.
He explained that the Qurban animal from Shopee Barokah will be slaughtered at Baznas RI’s office, with the meat distributed to thousands of needy people across West Java and Banten.
Sodik further noted that Shopee Barokah’s participation in the Qurban programme with Baznas is crucial for maximising the impact of the ritual, ensuring it reaches the intended beneficiaries.
“We hope this synergy continues through strategic programmes between Baznas and Shopee Barokah. We see a shared mission to assist those in need,” he added.
Meanwhile, Shopee Indonesia’s Director of Public Policy, Radityo Triatmojo, also praised Baznas for facilitating the distribution of Shopee Barokah’s Qurban animals.
“Baznas has been one of our first strategic partners since the inception of Shopee Barokah. This year’s Iduladha 1447 H, we are pleased to collaborate again with Baznas to ensure the Qurban distribution is trustworthy and accurately reaches those in need,” he said.
Shopee Barokah collaborates with Baznas RI to offer online Qurban animal purchases via the Shopee Barokah page on the Shopee app, enabling users to perform Qurban conveniently without compromising the spirit of sharing during Iduladha. The campaign runs until 28 May 2026.
Radityo added that this partnership aligns with Shopee Barokah’s broader commitment. “As a one-stop service platform, we hope Shopee Barokah and Baznas continue supporting the Islamic lifestyle needs of Indonesia’s Muslim community,” he said.
Since its launch in 2019, Shopee Barokah has been a dedicated feature of Shopee Indonesia supporting Muslims’ Islamic lifestyle through services such as Ziswaf (zakat, infaq, sadaqah) and Qurban. Additionally, it strengthens the national halal industry through collaboration with BPJPH (Halal Product Assurance Agency), which has helped thousands of MSMEs obtain halal certification since 2024, aiming to reach more local businesses in the future.
The stock includes 1,234 cattle and 1,513 goats, compared to 1,191 cattle and 1,458 goats in 2025.
Qurban animals are distributed to 47 recipients, including Islamic boarding schools, orphanages, mosques, community foundations, volunteers, parking attendants, and people with disabilities.
Each animal sent between regions must have a Veterinary Health Certificate (SKKH) to ensure safety and public assurance.
This distribution is part of the company’s social commitment to positively impact surrounding communities.
PT Karya Citra Nusantara (KCN) distributed seven cattle and 26 goats to coastal communities, fishermen, and institutions in North Jakarta.
