Baznas Provides Health Services and Logistics for National Remembrance Participants
The National Board of Zakat (Baznas) of the Republic of Indonesia, through Baznas Health House (RSB) and Baznas Disaster Response (BTB), provided free health services and distributed 100,000 bottles of mineral water and light snacks to the public attending the National Dhikr and Prayer gathering at the National Monument (Monas) in Jakarta on Saturday, 1 August 2026.
Chairman of Baznas RI, Sodik Mudjahid, said the agency’s presence at this national moment reflects its commitment to continuously delivering benefits to the public through various health services and humanitarian support.
“Through free health services and the distribution of light snacks, we aim to provide direct services and benefits to the public attending the National Dhikr and Prayer gathering,” said Sodik.
He affirmed that the presence of these Baznas services is also expected to educate the public about the benefits of zakat. “This way, the public can see directly the real impact of zakat managed by Baznas, realised through various programmes and services.”
Sodik added that to support the smooth running of the National Dhikr and Prayer series, RSB provided free health services for those in need. These services were prepared to help maintain participants’ health during the event.
“The health services by RSB are spread across seven strategic points at Monas. So, members of the public who are exhausted and need medical care can come directly to our health posts. We also have mobile clinics circulating around the area, so if anyone needs medical assistance, treatment can be carried out immediately,” said Sodik.
Beyond health services, Sodik continued, Baznas through BTB also stood by its teams to provide humanitarian support and ensure readiness throughout the event. These teams were tasked with assisting participants needing help at the venue.
“The BTB teams are on standby and are also helping to distribute 100,000 bottles of mineral water and light snacks. We have spread them across six points. This way, we ensure the public’s food and drink intake remains secure so they can follow the dhikr and prayers with devotion and comfort,” he said.
The event, attended by thousands of participants from various regions, was held to reaffirm gratitude for the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The programme comprised congregational Maghrib prayers, the recitation of salawat accompanied by hadrah, collective dhikr, and prayers for the safety of the nation and the progress of Indonesia.
