Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Indonesia held mechanics training for beneficiaries of the Z-Auto Programme from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi, with the aim of building the independence of mustahik by becoming professional mechanics.

“The Z-Auto Programme is our effort to enhance the skills of mechanics to make them more professional. Baznas does not only provide business capital, but also training and mentoring,” said Chairman of Baznas RI Sodik Mudjahid in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.

Sodik stated that since it was launched in 2021, the Z-Auto Programme has reached 27 provinces and 90 regencies/municipalities in Indonesia.

One of the Z-Auto Mechanics training participants from Jakarta, Asep Hepnadi, directly experienced the transformation of his workshop after receiving assistance through the Z-Auto programme.

He admitted that before joining the Z-Auto programme, he often faced complaints and customer dissatisfaction at his workshop in the Manggarai area.

“In the past, we used manual methods (to check damage), sometimes we would misanalyse. For example, the initial indication was the CKP sensor, but after replacing it, the problem was actually with the fuel pump. That made customers annoyed because the costs doubled,” he said.

According to Asep, all of that happened due to limitations in tools and damage analysis methods for motorcycles. However, since receiving assistance from Baznas through the Z-Auto programme, especially in the form of more modern equipment, such errors can be minimised and services are far more professional.

“I hope Baznas continues to hold trainings like this so that we can be more thorough in analysing motorcycle damage. This is very important for us to maintain customer trust,” he said.

Asep also expressed his gratitude to Baznas RI for the programme assistance and the opportunity to participate in the Z-Auto Mechanics training. He also thanked the muzaki who have entrusted their zakat to Baznas.

“I express my utmost gratitude to the muzaki who have channelled their zakat through Baznas. Thanks to this zakat, we can have a better life in earning a living for our families. May the sustenance of the muzaki be multiplied and Baznas be even stronger in helping our brothers and sisters throughout Indonesia,” said Asep Hepnadi.

It is known that this training activity was held at SMK Nasional Depok, West Java on 7-8 May 2026, and was attended by 30 beneficiaries.
