The National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Indonesia has ensured readiness of services for mudik participants during the 2026/1447 H Eid al-Fitr return flow. Nationally, Baznas has deployed 21 Baznas Mudik Posts scattered across various strategic areas to serve the public free of charge.

Baznas RI Chairman, Sodik Mudjahid, stated that all levels of Baznas RI leadership have shared duties to directly inspect the feasibility and services at each mudik post. His side continues to monitor the 21 mudik post locations during the return flow period, spread along major routes on Java Island, from Banten Province such as Lebak and Serang Regency, to East Java Province such as Sidoarjo and Jombang.

“In Indonesia, there are 21 (mudik posts) and they will also be distributed, not only in Java but in other places. Public enthusiasm is very high, so they will be increased for next year,” explained Sodik Mudjahid while inspecting the location at the Baznas Mudik Post in Garut in Limbangan, quoted from his statement on Saturday (28/3).

Sodik explained that the presence of these return flow mudik posts, equipped with various free facilities, serves as a form of accountability and gratitude from Baznas in managing zakat, infaq, and sedekah (ZIS) funds from muzakki. As occurred at the Baznas Mudik Post in Garut Regency, based on the latest report, this service has been utilised by thousands of people.

“Alhamdulillah, earlier I received a report that from H-5 to H+5, various supports are provided to mudik participants, from kitchens, health services, and others. As of today, there are already 1,562 mudik participants who have utilised the services,” he said.

According to him, the free facilities provided at the 21 mudik posts are quite diverse. For large-scale posts, Baznas provides services including healthcare, reflexology for fatigued mudik participants, light snacks, mobile phone and electric motorcycle chargers, children’s play areas, and lactation rooms for breastfeeding mothers, all of which can be enjoyed free of charge.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Baznas Garut Regency, Abdullah Efendi, stated that public enthusiasm in utilising the mudik post facilities in his area continues to increase every year. During the 2026 or 1447 Hijriah Eid mudik and return season, there was a surge in visitors, especially dense during prayer times, particularly starting from Dhuhr prayer and onwards. This increase in interest proves that the existence of such posts is greatly needed by mudik participants passing through the Garut area.

“The public’s interest in using these facilities for mudik participants is very high, especially approaching prayer times, particularly from Dhuhr onwards. And this has been long-standing and we maintain that this has become a routine activity from Baznas Garut and Baznas RI at this post,” he said.

Efendi also hopes that in the future there will be additional facilities to enhance the quality of services at subsequent posts. He also expressed appreciation to all parties who have supported this humanitarian programme.

“I express thanks to the muzakki throughout Indonesia who entrust their zakat and infaq to Baznas RI so that the funds can be utilised, one of which is for these mudik participants. May there be more entrustments from muzakki in the future and it can prosper Indonesian society according to its asnaf,” he emphasised.
