The National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) RI received an audience from a Jamiyah Singapore delegation as an initial step to explore economic empowerment synergies through optimising coffee products farmed by mustahik. The meeting took place at the Baznas RI Office in Jakarta on Tuesday (14/7/2026). This strategic meeting aims to build a long-term collaboration that integrates the supply of high-quality coffee beans from mustahik farmers assisted by Baznas into various empowerment programmes run by the Singaporean non-governmental organisation. Baznas RI Vice Chairman Zainut Tauhid Sa’adi welcomed the visit from the Jamiyah Singapore delegation as a positive initial step in building a strategic partnership going forward. ‘We certainly hope this audience will lead to meaningful positive cooperation in the future, so we can work together for the benefit of the ummah, both in Indonesia and in Singapore,’ Zainut said in a press release on Wednesday (15/7/2026). Responding to Jamiyah Singapore’s initiative to collaborate in the coffee commodity sector, Zainut explained that Baznas has consistently developed a downstream programme through ZCoffee, a comprehensive empowerment ecosystem that trains groups of mustahik to become professional baristas while also guiding local coffee farmers towards economic independence. Zainut added that, as a facilitator, Baznas is ready to bridge and supply various superior coffee varieties cultivated under its guidance to meet the preferences and market needs of Jamiyah Singapore.
