The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of the Republic of Indonesia reported that the 2026 Palace Zakat collection successfully gathered Rp4.3 billion from 111 zakat contributors consisting of state officials, cabinet ministers, and military personnel, marking the highest amount in the 11 years since the Palace Zakat initiative began.
The event, held at the State Palace in Jakarta on 13 February 2026, collected zakat contributions exceeding Rp4.3 billion from 111 contributors.
Baznas Chairman Sodik Mudjahid stated in Jakarta on Monday that the 2026 Palace Zakat collection took place at the State Palace on 13 February 2026. He explained that zakat collection from state officials at the palace through Baznas has continued to increase from 2022 to 2026.
In 2022, collected zakat amounted to Rp636.25 million, increasing to Rp753.5 million in 2023, then reaching Rp1.0885 billion in 2024. The collection increased further in 2025 to Rp2.0403 billion, and in 2026 surged significantly to Rp4.3452 billion.
This highest achievement in Palace Zakat collection, Mudjahid continued, represents an important moment for Baznas’s leadership during the 2026–2031 period to further enhance the quality of zakat management.
“This trust is a responsibility for us to continue strengthening professional, transparent, and accountable zakat management, so that its benefits are genuinely felt by zakat beneficiaries throughout Indonesia,” he stated.
Mudjahid also emphasised that Indonesia’s potential for national zakat is very large and can be an important force in helping alleviate poverty and improve the welfare of the Muslim community.
The 2026 Palace Zakat collection was not limited to President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Several cabinet ministers also contributed zakat through Baznas, including the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, the Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, and the President’s Special Envoy for Youth Development and Arts Mentorship Raffi Ahmad.
