Jakarta – The National Amil Zakat Board (Baznas) Jakarta South branch is targeting 180 houses for renovation under its 2026 House Renovation Programme as a form of assistance to low-income residents.

“Indeed, our house renovation target each year remains the same, at 180 units,” said Ahmad Kahpi, Coordinator of Baznas/Bazis Jakarta South, to reporters in Jakarta on Monday.

He stated that the target is sometimes not achieved or may be adjusted depending on circumstances and submissions through village administrations.

According to him, house renovation applications must be submitted through village administrative documentation and cannot be made directly to Baznas.

“Because we need to verify the documents. So, the 180 houses is the maximum, and they must already be registered property,” said Ahmad.

However, he noted that if the property is not yet registered, then a letter of recommendation from the village administration is required, confirming that the house can be rebuilt and is safe, with no property disputes.

Nevertheless, he emphasised that house renovation applications require commitment and capability, from funding to management.

Registration is conducted through the portal baznasbazisdki.id/daftarbedahrumah-hafizquran, with qualifications for applicants being hafiz/hafizah (Quran memorisers) of at least five juz of the Quran, with a memorisation certificate if available. Applicants must complete documents including identity cards, family registration cards, certificates of financial hardship, and land ownership documentation, as well as meet criteria for uninhabitable housing (RTLH).

The programme is divided into two categories: renovation and complete reconstruction. Beneficiaries will have their houses renovated after the Eid holiday recess period, with work estimated to take three weeks per property.

The budget allocation for each house ranges from 30 to 55 million rupiah.
