BAZNAS Enhances 31st National MTQ with Various Services
The National Zakat Agency (BAkers) of Indonesia, alongside BAZNAS Central Java and BAZNAS Semarang, is enlivening the 31st National Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) 2026 by offering various free services, culinary exhibitions, and interactive booths for participants and visitors. As part of the activities, BAZNAS has introduced a digital education booth titled “Exploring the Impact of Zakat Nusantara”, free haircut services, and is participating in the Halal Food Fest by presenting various local processed products from MSMEs supported by zakat recipients (mustahik).
The Secretary General of BAZNAS RI, Dr. H. Subhan Cholid, Lc., M.A., has invited the public to attend and utilise the various services and educational opportunities provided by BAZNAS throughout the MTQ National exhibition.
“In order to celebrate the 31st National MTQ, BAZNAS is participating in the exhibition taking place from 11 to 19 September. Please visit our booth. We have educational content regarding zakat. If you are lucky, you will receive very attractive prizes,” said Subhan during his visit to the BAZNAS booth at the MTQ National event in Semarang, Central Java, on Saturday (19/9/2026).
He explained that the BAZNAS booth is not only featuring BAZNAS RI but also involves regional BAZNAS branches and MSMEs fostered by BAZNAS. The public can also participate in zakat education and have the opportunity to win various prizes provided at the booth.
Subhan hopes that BAZNAS’s presence at the 31st National MTQ can serve as a means to expand zakat education while inviting the community to embrace the MTQ momentum as an effort to ground the Al-Qur’an.
“Please come to this exhibition and let us celebrate the blessings of the Qur’an. We are seeking blessings from the activities of grounding the Al-Qur’an through the 31st National MTQ 2026,” he said.
The various services, exhibitions, and educational booths presented by BAZNAS have received a positive response from the participants and visitors of the 31st National MTQ.
Visitor enthusiasm was evident through their participation in various activities at the BAZNAS booth. In addition to obtaining information regarding zakat, visitors were able to see firsthand the variety of empowerment programmes implemented by BAZNAS to provide benefits and encourage the independence of its beneficiaries.
