Baznas Distributes 4,933 Qur'ans to the Community
The National Board of Zakat (Baznas) RI has received a donation of 4,933 Cordoba Qur’ans, valued at Rp500,787,343, from Gramedia customers. Rizaludin Kurniawan, Head of Mobilisation and Collection at Baznas RI, expressed his appreciation to Gramedia for driving community participation through this Al-Qur’an charity programme.
“This is an excellent collaboration. It proves that goodness can be achieved through cooperation between various parties. When Baznas, corporations, and the public unite, the benefits generated can be felt by more people,” Rizaludin stated in a report on Saturday (6/6).
Furthermore, Rizaludin stated that Baznas will ensure all received Qur’ans are distributed precisely to those in need across various remote areas of Indonesia. “God willing, this mandate will be distributed to mosques, prayer rooms, educational institutions, and community groups in need across various regions. We want to ensure every Qur’an can be utilised to improve the religious literacy of the community,” he said.
Rizaludin also expressed hope that Al-Qur’an charity programmes like this will continue to grow and inspire more parties to participate in various social activities. “We hope this collaboration can serve as an inspiration for other businesses to take part in movements of sharing and community empowerment. The more parties involved, the greater the benefits we can bring together,” added Rizaludin.
The symbolic handover of the Cordoba Qur’ans took place on 7 May 2026, at Gramedia World Emerald Bintaro, South Tangerang.
Meanwhile, Gramedia Regional Manager Singgih Hindratno stated that the Al-Qur’an charity programme is part of the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable social impact through customer participation. “We are grateful that this programme received a very positive response from Gramedia customers and Happy Family Coloring participants. The enthusiasm shown is proof that the spirit of sharing remains strong within the community,” he said.
Singgih also expressed his appreciation to Baznas for facilitating the distribution of the Al-Qur’an charity. He hopes that the collaboration with Baznas RI can continue through various other social programmes so that the benefits can reach more people throughout Indonesia.
Additionally, the Director of Cordoba Publishing, Andi Subarkah, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between Cordoba, Gramedia, and Baznas RI in providing benefits to the community through the Al-Qur’an Charity programme. “May every mushaf distributed become a source of knowledge, strengthen the culture of reading the Al-Qur’an, and provide sustainable benefits for the community,” he said.
